Emotional Spending

I have exams starting tomorrow and assignment deadlines creeping up (eek!), so today I decided to do a little retail therapy in preparation of this unfortunate time.

I picked up:
– The Real Techniques Powder Brush
I loved the Real Techniques Flawless Face Brush that I purchased a few weeks ago, so I wanted to try more of their brushes!

– Model Co. Facial Wipes
I prefer to use facial wipes to remove my make up because it’s quick and fuss-free. I have never tried these wipes before, however I thought I’d give them a go since Model. Co only launched their skincare line fairly recently.

– Bobbi Brown Nail Polish in Port
I was after a nice, new nail polish and I feel like this shade is perfect for me! I love dark colours so much. It is the perfect deep, dark, red wine shade. I normally wear OPI’s Lincoln Park After Dark or Black Onyx, although they started to go all thick and gluggy. Plus, they were nearly empty. I watched one of Chloe Morello’s YouTube videos a few months ago and loved the shade of nail polish she was wearing. In the comments below her video she said that she was wearing Bobbi Brown’s Port.

– Stila Kiss and Pout Lip Trio
Although I was disappointed with the Stila Lip Tint I recently purchased, I do love the other Stila lip products. I don’t normally wear a gloss, therefore I didn’t want to commit to an expensive Bobbi Brown gloss just yet. The Stila trio was a good price in my opinion, ($18), and there are three colours in it, so I feel like I can ease myself into wearing lip gloss. The colours are called Salted Caramel, Cafe au Lait and Pink Marshmallow. Each colour contains pretty sparkles.

– Le Tan in Dark Bronze
Several posts ago, I wrote about my top 5 fake tans. I needed a new fake tan today although I didn’t feel like spending a lot on it, and I noticed that Le Tan had brought out a new shade called Dark Bronze. Since it was less than half the price of the tans I normally purchase, I thought I may as well give it a try. I have used Le Tan in the past and the quality was decent, so hopefully it is still the same.

Have you tried any of these products before?

G xx

    1. Yes I wash mine with baby shampoo as well, or an old cleanser that I haven’t used up 🙂 I’m loving the Real Techniques brushes!
