Today I went into Mecca Maxima and purchased a new skincare range and the lovely girls there informed me that I had a Beauty Loop box to pick up! P.s I am keeping the products I bought a secret for now because I want to do a review after I have used them for a couple of weeks.
Anyway, when you shop at Mecca stores (Cosmetica or Maxima), you earn points and when you reach a certain amount you move up in levels. I am currently on level 3. Every three months, Mecca puts together a box of samples for members to try. I think it is a great idea considering make up is so expensive in Australia, and it is a nice reward for spending money.
This time around in my Beauty Loop Level 3 Box I received:
– Nars Pro Prime Pore Refining Primer
I can’t wait to give this primer a go. I am using the Laura Mercier oil-free primer at the moment (which I love), however I am always after something better! The description of the Nars Primer says that it is oil-free, paraben free, silicone free and preservative free. I avoid nasty chemicals whenever I can, so I like the sounds of this primer.
– Dr Brandt XYY Dual Fusion Water
This is a cleanser and make up remover that you use with a cotton pad to wipe over your face. I used it tonight to remove my make up and it seemed similar to a micellar water. It did the job of removing my make up, so I will continue to use up the sample. The product also states that it is anti-aging and anti-bacterial. As I have acne prone skin I am pleased to know the product has anti-bacterial properties.
– Philosophy Purity Made Simple Facial Cleanser
I have actually used the full size of this cleanser about a year ago. I thought it was a really nice cleanser that cleaned my face well, and it also smelt lovely! This small sample size will come in handy if I have to travel for a short amount of time and don’t want to take my full size cleanser.
Ciate Paint Pot in Serendipity
This nail polish is adorable. While I love glitter and sparkles, I normally only wear darks, reds and occasionally pale pink on my nails. Although as the holiday season is approaching, it will be nice having a bit of glitter on my nails! I used this nail polish tonight, and I think it is a really pretty shade of pink.
I have Essie’s Fiji on my nails and Ciate’s Serendipity on my ring finger.
Have you used any of these products before?
