The month of October has well and truly passed us now (scary), and so it’s time for me to post about my favourite products of the month.
– Korres Vanilla Cinnamon Shower Gel and Body Milk
I’ve spoken about my obsession with anything cinnamon scented or flavoured before, so I honestly couldn’t contain my excitement when I saw these products in Mecca Maxima! As soon as I smelt them I was in love and I had to purchase them immediately. The shower gel thoroughly cleans my body without leaving it feeling dry and tight. The body milk is super hydrating and does a good job of keeping my dry skin feeling soft and supple. It can be so annoying when you love the smell of a shower gel or moisturiser, but you cannot even smell it on yourself. These products leave you smelling like vanilla and cinnamon all day long which I love, although the scent is not too overpowering. There are also no parabens, silicones, mineral oil, synthetic dyes or any other nasty things in these two products. The shower gel is $18 and the body milk is $22 from Mecca Maxima stores and online.
– Jbronze Medium Tanning Mousse
This tan has been my go-to tan during October. It gives a lovely light bronze colour that looks very natural and not fake-tan-like at all. I normally like to wear the Jbronze Mousse in Dark, however I did not feel like being extremely tanned at the time I bought this because it is a huge effort for me to remove the tan and apply a fresh one each week. Tans just tend to stick to my skin and are difficult to remove. This tan subtly fades which is great if I am feeling lazy and don’t want to do a massive exfoliation, so I feel like the Medium colour is less maintenance. If you do decide you want to go a little darker, just add another coat and a deeper tan emerges. I loved this tan and I will definitely repurchase it after I have used up my other fake tans. This product is $34.95 and is available from Priceline, Jbronze online and other selected pharmacies in Australia.
– Stila Lip Glaze in Cafe au Lait
A couple of weeks ago I purchased a trio of Stila Lip Glaze products. This lip glaze is my favourite out of the three because you can actually tell that the Glaze has a colour to it and is not just clear. The other two colours in the trio look pretty in the tube, however when you apply them they just look clear. This Lip Glaze lasts for hours and hydrates the lips really well. I purchased the lip trio for $18 at Mecca Maxima.
– L’Oreal True Match Foundation in W3
I was a tad late jumping on the L’Oreal True Match Foundation bandwagon through no fault of my own! It was sold out in my shade basically everywhere that I looked. One lucky day I walked into Priceline and there was one bottle of my shade left, and it was on sale! I have been wearing this foundation for almost the entire month and I love it so much. It has amazing coverage, blends so amazingly, does not break me out, does not make me get oily, and just looks flawless. The only downside is that if I am not wearing fake tan the shade I have is too dark for me, so I then have to resort to using other products that just don’t look as good. Real dilemmas. The price of this foundation varies at different stores, however I purchased mine for $20 from Priceline.
– Elf Blush in Peachy Keen
I love this blush because it kind of doubles as a shimmery bronzer too. It is quite pigmented, therefore you don’t need to use a lot of product. This product looks really pretty if you are going for a healthy, bronzed make up look. If I remember correctly this blush was $8 from K-Mart.
– Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Perfume
I hardly ever repurchase the same product twice, so it has to really amaze me to make me buy it again. This is the second bottle of this perfume I have owned, and I love it so so much. It is so feminine and classic and it lasts all day long. I bought this bottle when I was in Singapore a couple of months ago for around $110.
I hope you enjoyed my October Favourites post!
