Priceline Haulin’

I had been hearing rumours for a couple of weeks that Priceline was having an amazing 40% off cosmetics sale, so I was so pleased when I found out it was true!

This sale is only on for two days (yesterday and today) so be quick to get in store or online if you want to snatch up some bargains!

Before I get into the products that I purchased yesterday I have a story to share. I arrived at the shopping centre at around 8.30am, and when I got to the car park I could hear all of these super loud sirens! I ignored them until I heard a voice shouting “EMERGENCY! Evacuate immediately!” This freaked me out because:

  1. I had no idea what was going on and if everything was okay.

and

  1. I was worried I was going to miss the sale. “NOT THE SALE! WHY ME! WHY TODAY!” was basically what I was shouting while sitting in the car contemplating if I should evacuate the car park and mope off back to university.

Luckily all of the sirens and yelling stopped after around 10 minutes. When I walked into the shopping centre there was actually a sign at the entrance saying that there would be evacuation drills that morning… So I panicked for nothing.

Anyway, onto what I picked up at the sale. I promised myself to only purchase things that I really needed, or should I say wanted, and not buy anything that wasn’t on my list. I am trying to cut back on my spending, so my list was very small. I picked up some cosmetics on sale and also some other skin care products that were not on sale.

The items I purchased on sale:

  • Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation

I wanted this as an alternative to my regular Healthy Mix foundation. This foundation is a lot lighter and does not have as much coverage. I don’t know why but at the moment I am into natural looking skin. I like it when some of my scars and freckles show through – don’t ask me why.

  • Bourjois Healthy Balance powder

I have heard great things about this powder so I am really looking forward to trying it out!

  • Bourjois Happy Light primer

I realised that I have not been using a primer at all lately and I think that it was becoming quite obvious. The products on my face haven’t been lasting as well as they should, so I really needed a new primer as I had basically run out of all my others.

The items I purchased at their regular price:

  • Vaseline Dry Skin moisturiser

I really love this stuff! I mentioned it in a previous post, but in a nutshell I think that it is one of the best drugstore body moisturisers out there. It is so cheap, soaks in quickly, hydrates the skin like there is no tomorrow and helps maintain my fake tans.

  • La Roche-Posay Uvidea XL SPF50

I am obsessed with sunscreen. No joke. I actually collect sunscreens, is that weird? I am SO paranoid about sun damage and skin cancer, so I literally need to wear sunscreen everyday otherwise I freak. I have not tried this exact sunscreen before, but I have used the BB cream version of it which is amazing.

  • Nivea Fruity Shine Peach lip balm

I quite like most of the Nivea lip balms. I am a sucker for anything peach, whether it be the colour or scent, so I had to pick this up to try.

I am so happy I didn’t go overboard and buy too many products, however I do regret not taking greater advantage of the sale! Maybe I will just buy some more things online tonight rather than go back in store… I can be lazy like that sometimes!

G xx
