Now that March is over I can finally start to plan my winter outfits. The first day of April really signalled the change in weather which made me super excited because I love the cold!
Last month, while it was still so hot I would sweat walking 20 metres, I discovered some amazing products:
- The Base by LB Skin Illuminator in Matte
This is a gorgeous liquid bronzer that goes so well over liquid foundations and creams! It gives the skin a subtle glow and is easily buildable so you can achieve your desired colour. It has a slight shimmer to it but the finish is matte so this product is perfect if you want to look ‘glowy’ without it being obvious you are wearing bronzer and highlighter. I use this as either a contour under my cheekbones or directly on my cheekbones and on the bridge of my nose.
- Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
I mentioned this product in a recent drugstore favourites post and I’m mentioning it again because I love it so much! It makes the skin look so fresh and healthy and it gives pretty full coverage. This is one of my all time favourite foundations.
- Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Pink Quartz
This is actually the first Shimmer Brick I have ever owned! I love it so much because it can be used as a highlighter, a blush and also as eye shadow. The colour of this Brick is also so pretty and I was drawn to it instantly!
- Bobbi Brown Blush in Nectar
All of my blushes have shimmer in them (aka Nars Orgasm and Deep Throat) so I wanted a matte blush so that I could highlight and contour with shimmery products and not look like a total light bulb. I stood at the Bobbi Brown counter for so long trying to decide on the perfect shade for me, and I ended up just getting confused so I randomly picked out Nectar. This is the most perfect blush I have ever used because the shade suits my skin tone and it blends so nicely. This is the great autumn/winter blush.
- La Roche-Posay Uvidea XL SPF 50
I just love French pharmacy. Uvidea XL become my new favourite everyday sunscreen because it is lightweight, non-comedogenic, paraben and fragrance free. It doesn’t make me breakout and it doesn’t have a greasy feeling at all. I can’t get enough!
- Tresemme Dry Shampoo
I consider this dry shampoo as one of my favourites. It doesn’t make the hair overly ‘powdery’ like most dry shampoos, but your hair still feels refreshed. It adds nice volume too which is great because I recently chopped my hair into a lob (long bob), so it needs a bit more oomph!
- Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
I received a sample of this mascara with my limited edition Christmas palette from last year and fell in love. Unfortunately it was all sold out at Mecca Maxima so I had to go on the waiting list until it arrived. A couple of weeks ago it finally came in, so immediately I tossed my old drugstore mascara aside and began using this one. As much as I love it, I feel like it wasn’t as good as the sample for some reason. I also feel like it has started to dry up a little, but in saying that it is still an awesome mascara and makes my lashes look very ‘Bambi-like’.
There you have my March Favourites for 2015! Have you used any of those products before?
G xx
Everything looks amazing! I’ve never tried them before though! :O But I seriously want to now! ❤
I highly recommend those products! You should give them a go when you get the chance 🙂 thanks for reading! xx
Hehe I definitely will keep them in mind! 😀 I need to make a list of recommendations to keep up LOL.
Haha I feel a bit like that too!
LOL there’s just so many! :O
There is! And not enough money! Haha 🙂
I’m still eyeing that Pink Quartz Shimmer Brick! It’s irresistible!! Thanks for sharing your favs :o)
Thank you for reading! Pink Quartz is just amazing and the picture definitely doesn’t do it justice. It’s got to be my favourite colour out of the range 🙂 x
The Bobbi Brown blush looks beautfiul! Might need to check it out 😀 xoxo
It’s such a gorgeous colour and I imagine it is universally flattering! xx
Love that Bobbi Brown blush!!
It’s amazing isn’t it! 🙂
Gorgeous!
Thank you for this post because I am honestly trying to decide if I should try the Bourjois foundation!!!!
xo J
I highly recommend it!! It’s incredible! xx
I’ve tried the Too Faced better than sex mascara. I really love it. I feel like it could be a bit clumpy at times!! I’ve always wanted to try the Bobbie Brown Shimmer bricks… Are they worth the price?
Yes I agree! I wasn’t sure if it was just me! I am also interested in trying Benefit’s They’re Real! Mascara to compare. I definitely think they are if you like to wear shimmer often. However I think that if you only occasionally wear shimmer products you might find that it’s a lot of money for something you don’t use too often 🙂 in terms of quality they are worth the price!
I’ve tried the Benefit they’re real!! Extremely obsessed! It’s different from Too Faced!! I can’t compare the mascara’s, they’re completely different. I need to try the shimmer bricks! Haha
Do you think Benefit is better? I like my lashes to look long, separated and thick!
The benefits mascara makes the lashes lengthy and separates them! The Too faced makes them thick! Maybe try them both together?
Yes maybe I’ll give them a go together! 🙂
I really like your blog!
Thank you! 🙂
