Travel Essentials | Winter Edition

I am going on a holiday with my best friend in a couple of weeks and I am super excited! We are travelling to Melbourne, Australia, so it is a lot colder there than where I currently live.

I have put together a list of what I think are essential items for a winter getaway in terms of beauty and some lifestyle products.

Skincare products:

Face oils and serums

Oils and serums are a staple in my everyday skincare routine as I have dehydrated skin, however they are absolutely essential if you are entering a colder climate. My favourites for keeping my skin hydrated and supple are Go-To Skincare’s Face Hero, Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus and Ultraceuticals Ultra B2 Hydrating Serum.

Face moisturiser

This is another daily essential item but is vital in cold weather. I love my travel size of Dermalogica’s Active Moist.

Face Mask

A hydrating vitamin enriched face mask is always a great way to treat your skin while travelling. I will definitely be taking along my Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque.

A hydrating body wash

My skin is super dry on my body so in winter time I like using a hydrating body wash, particularly some kind of oil. I have a travel size of the L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil, so I will be taking that along on my trip. I absolutely adore L’Occitane’s Almond range, and this product in particular is a standout for me.

Facial wipes

It’s always great to take facial wipes when travelling. I normally use Bioderma to remove my make up although I don’t want to carry around my large 500ml bottle in my suitcase, so I will be taking Wotnot’s Organic Facial Wipes along with me.

Hand cream

To avoid chapped, dry hands always ensure you use a hand cream. My current favourite hand creams are the OPI Avojuice Skin Quenchers.

Cuticle oil

This is to be used in conjunction with my hand cream as the cold definitely calls for cuticle oil. I love the OPI Avoplex Cuticle Oil To Go.

Lip balm

This item is just obvious! I can’t go anywhere without my Go-To Skincare Lips! lip balm.

Hair products:

Dry shampoo

This is essential for the times when you don’t want to spend two hours washing, blow drying and styling your hair. Who wants to waste all that time when you are on holidays anyway?

Personal products:

Nasal sprays

I have bad sinuses on the daily, so I need nasal sprays when flying and travelling. I will be taking my Priceline Nasal Spray and Vicks Inhaler.

Eye drops

Airplanes tend to just dry you out in general, and they can make your eyes super dry! My favourite eyedrops are Systane Ultra.

Miscellaneous items:

Empty travel containers

I use these to pour shampoo and conditioner into, because I don’t want to waste all that space carrying around my full size bottles. I just bought a set by Manicare that comes with labels to stick on the bottles so you know what is in each bottle.

Warm socks

Okay, I will admit I don’t often put warm socks at the top of my list when travelling. BUT, yesterday I got some new bed socks with a pug on the side! A PUG! I love pugs so much so I got super excited when I saw these! I am definitely going to be taking these away with me to keep me warm at night. And also to make me look cute.

So there you have my list of essential items when travelling in winter! What are your essential travel beauty items?
