We all love a good dupe, don’t we?
Lately I have found some high end products and drugstore products that I think are quite similar, so I decided to share my findings with you all.
Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Luxembourg and Rimmel Colour Rush Lipstick in Rumour Has It
These products are quite similar in terms of colour and finish. The NARS lip pencil is definitely more pigmented and long lasting on the lips, but the Rimmel pencil is quite good for the price.
Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara and Maybelline Pumped Up Volum’ Colossal Express mascara
I’m sure most of you have heard how amazing the Too Faced mascara is. It is an excellent mascara that creates really thick, voluminous lashes. Although I consider it to be worth the price, repurchasing this product constantly isn’t in my budget. I think a great alternative product is the Maybelline mascara. It doesn’t make my lashes look as amazing as the Too Faced mascara, but the Maybelline one gives me a similar effect for less than half the price.
NARS Pressed Powder and Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder
I think these products are really similar in terms of finish, feel on the skin, and overall texture. I honestly don’t have a preference with these two powders – I think they are both equally amazing. The only major difference between the products is the price. In Australia there is around $18-$20 difference in price.
Stila Stay All Day foundation and Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation
These two fabulous products definitely share similar qualities. The full coverage foundations leave the skin looking healthy and luminous, and you definitely don’t need to go back in with any concealer. Both foundations are super easy to blend and don’t cause the skin to get oily throughout the day (in my experience anyway).
Redken Extreme Shampoo and Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo
I very, very rarely talk about hair products! I think I need to lift my hair game. The truth is that I am not very good at doing my hair and I can only do around three hairstyles (straight, slightly wavy and a pony tail). Anyway, I found that the Redken and Dove shampoos are pretty good dupes for each other. Obviously the Redken shampoo nourishes the hair deeper, however the Dove one is a good alternative and is significantly cheaper!
I hope you found this post helpful,
