Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua | Review

I have recently rekindled my love for the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation. I used this foundation around three years ago, and I have to say I love it more the second time around.

Before dispensing the product onto your hand it is important to shake it very well otherwise the product will come out separated. I apply this using my Real Techniques Expert Face brush, and it requires barely any blending. It instantly becomes one with the skin and it doesn’t look or feel like you are wearing make up at all! Vitalumiere Aqua makes the skin look ‘glowy’ and absolutely flawless while providing a decent amount of coverage. Coverage is certainly buildable so you can create a fresh look with light coverage or layer for more coverage.

I wore the foundation for all of last week where I would be wearing it for 10 or more hours during the day. This product did not separate, cause my skin to become oily, break me out, or fade throughout the day. I also received so many compliments from people saying “how nice my skin looked” and that they wanted to know “what foundation I use.” I would just like to add that I so far I haven’t worn a primer under this product, just my moisturiser and sunscreen. I image it would be even more amazing with a primer worn underneath.

Vitalumiere Aqua truly has reminded me just how amazing Chanel products are!

Have you used this product before?

  1. Great review, now I’m curious and want to try it lol. The packaging and general product as in the fact that is has water in it remind me of the Cover Girl Smoothers foundation. I wonder if they are similar! 🙂

    1. Ooh I’ve never tried that Cover Girl foundation. Maybe I should give it a go! It might be a potential dupe 🙂

    1. I think it’s great for all skin types! It doesn’t make oily skin shiny but it also doesn’t make dry skin more prominent. It’s such a well balanced foundation x
