I have quite a lot August favourites ranging from make up to books, so I decided to categorise them all!
- Make up
Chanel CC Cream
This product is from Chanel’s skincare line, but I decided to pop it under make up. I absolutely adore this product and I love how it makes my skin look and feel so smooth and clear! It has such amazing coverage yet my skin still looks like skin when I wear it. I really like how this product just makes it look like you have great skin and not like you are wearing make up.
PONi Cosmetics Brow Magic
This is the perfect brow pencil for everyone no matter what hair colour you have. This brow pencil magically adapts to all hair colours. I have been very blonde and now am light brunette yet this pencil still matches my hair perfectly. It also contains ingredients such as Biotin that stimulate the eyebrow hairs to grow – I simply can’t fault this product.
Real Techniques Multi Task brush
I have been loving this brush to apply my everyday bronzer. I haven’t exactly been ‘contouring’ my face, but I can still define my facial features with this brush. I feel like this creates more of an everyday defined look as opposed to a more intense ‘chiseled’ look.
Chanel Nail Polish in Ballerina
This is the perfect nail colour for when I want to look neat and polished. It is the most amazing shade of light white-pink that flatters all skin colours. It isn’t too pink, too white, or too nude. Ballerina is a stunning shade and doesn’t chip off easily.
Too Faced Hangover Primer
This is probably my favourite primer of all time. It makes my skin look super smooth, hydrated and happy. It contains ingredients like coconut water and probiotics to help nourish your skin and brighten up your complexion.
Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil
The Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil is the original and best cleansing oil on the market. It quickly and effectively removes my make up and leaves my skin super clean, hydrated and fresh.
Nivea Repair and Care Body Lotion
I have the driest skin ever to the point where I could be mistaken for an actual reptile. But, this moisturiser completely cures my dry skin! This is honestly one of the best body moisturisers I have used. It soaks in fast and not only makes my skin super soft to touch but also makes a visible difference. This product is also really affordable.
- Books, music and television
Textbook Romance by Zoe Foster Blake and Hamish Blake
This is a great book all about dating and relationships. I picked up so many useful pieces advice from Zoe that I can apply to future relationships. Since reading this book I have a completely different outlook on dating. The commentary from Hamish was also really useful. Hamish basically commented on what Zoe said from a guy’s perspective – really interesting!
Lana Del Rey
I love the new songs Lana has recently brought out this month! They are so cruisey and dreamlike and are really easy to listen to. I’ve always been a big Lana Del Rey fan and her new songs have not disappointed.
How I Met Your Mother
I have watched random episodes of HIMYM here and there in the past, but since joining Netflix I have started watching it from the beginning. I am up to season 4 now and am really enjoying it. It is such a funny show and I like how it all links together really well.
There you have my August favourites! What were your favourites this month?
