It’s scary to think about how quickly time flies. The Audrey Files is officially one year old.
Over the past year I have grown a lot as a person and really discovered who I am and where I want to go in my life. In the past year I made some amazing life-long friends and lost some, began to find my personal style, dyed my hair from blonde to brunette, chopped my hair off, went through a breakup, changed university degrees, wrote an article for a website I respect, became a brand ambassador, and so much more…
I feel like it is only appropriate that I gave The Audrey Files a face lift and announce that I will be extending the type of content I produce on my blog. I am of course going to focus on producing beauty related content, however I am also going to branch out into fashion and lifestyle posts. I want you guys to get to know me better, and I want to be able to share things that are going on in my life.
I guess the first step is to re-introduce myself. Some of you might be new to my blog, or maybe you have been reading my blog for a while but don’t know anything about me. My name is Gracie and I am 20 years old from Australia. I am currently studying Journalism at university and I intend on becoming a Beauty Journalist in the future – this has always been my dream. The Audrey Files is named after my idol – the one and only Audrey Hepburn who defines beauty and grace. When I’m not snapping photos of make up and blogging you will most likely find me reading, watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, looking at pugs on Instagram or with my family and friends. I happen to also be a self-proclaimed tea and coffee connoisseur.
I would also like to show you all my new hair. I swapped my natural blonde locks for brunette ones some months ago, but now my hair has been chopped above my shoulders. As Coco Chanel said, “A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life.” Chopping my hair off means a lot to me and I guess it’s kind of symbolic of new beginnings (as ridiculously cheesy as that sounds).
I hope that you all like what I’ve done with my blog. I’m open to any suggestions and requests for posts, so please don’t hesitate to contact me in the comments below or at my email address: email@example.com. Don’t forget to also keep up with me on Instagram – @theaudreyfiles.
