Beauty Favourites 2015

Over the past few months I haven’t posted my monthly favourites purely because I have been on a spending ban. I found myself buying too many similar products and decided it’s best for my bank account and storage space to use up products before buying more! Although it was a difficult task, I did put together my favourite beauty products for 2015. I am probably missing so many products but I didn’t want to think about it too hard otherwise the list would be endless!

Base

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation – This is the perfect foundation in my opinion and I recommend it to everyone. It doesn’t contain SPF so it is idealΒ for events as you won’t get flashback in photos. I love how the coverage is so buildable and you can create a light look or a full coverage look. It applies and blends so evenly and never looks cakey. I have almost finished my bottle in the shade Santa Fe, so I need to head out to Mecca Maxima and grab another one!

Jane Iredale Glowtime Mineral BB Cream (Not pictured) – Within the time frame of a couple of months I have almost gone through a tube of this stuff and have repurchased more. Do I need to continue? I love how it has such high coverage and is actually good for your skin too as it is made from minerals and fruit extracts. It is perfect for anyone with sensitive skin or acne prone skin as it won’t aggravate it. Some people complain this is too heavy, but I only find it becomes heavy and oily when applied with a brush. For me the best way to apply is with my fingers and when I do this my skin stays fresh all day.

Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow – This is the perfect illuminating priming product for my skin. I love a dewy look so I have ditched my regular primers for shimmery ones like this. It feels so light to apply and helps my foundation/tinted moisturiser last well throughout the day or night.

Bourjois CC Cream – I always rave on about this product as it does the best job of making my skin look so natural and healthy. It provides really great coverage but just looks so natural so you can’t really tell you are wearing a base. It has SPF in it so it is great for extra protection during the day. This is great for my skin when it is both dry and oily.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer – This is my absolute holy grail undereye concealer. I have the darkest undereyes ever, but this concealer does a really great job at covering most of that up. It doesn’t crease on me at all either which is a massive bonus. I’ve almost used up my current tube of this product and I have already purchased another.

Cheek

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Luminous Flush – This is such a gorgeous blush! It truly lives up to the name and gives your cheeks a luminous flush. I’ve used it so much throughout the year and it still looks brand new and barely used – I think it will last a really long time. It is expensive but it’s definitely value for money.

MAC Soft and Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish – No wonder this product is a cult favourite. It is the perfect highlighter and I am obsessed with it. Once you use Soft and Gentle there’s no possible way you can ever be without it!

Lips

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl – If it isn’t already obvious, Dragon Girl is my favourite lipstick of all time. If I had to pick one lipstick to wear forever it would definitely be this! It is the perfect matte red shade for my skin tone, and although it is matte it is super hydrating. I won’t lie, I initially only bought this product because Taylor Swift wears it and I am a diehard Swiftie!

NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Luxembourg – Again, this was another Taylor Swift/Hilary Duff recommendation. I’m so glad I picked this up because it is my second favourite lipstick. It is a glossy pigmented pinky/red shade and is so comfortable to wear.

Lanolips 101 Ointment (Not pictured) – This stuff is seriously the best for hydrating dry lips and other dry skin on the body. I have it in so many scents, but I love the Peach and Cranberry.

MAC Lipstick in ‘Faux’ (Not pictured) – This is my favourite nude lipstick shade and I have almost gone through a tube. It goes well with my skin tone and can be worn for an everyday look or for a special occasion.

Eyes

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara – I truly think this mascara is one of the best out there in terms of performance and price. This mascara is a dupe of the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara for a fraction of the price – especially when you can get it on sale. It always makes my lashes so fanned out, thick and long.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette – Urban Decay only launched in Australia this year so I only picked up this product around June. I am so obsessed with the shades in this palette and they look gorgeous against blue eyes. I initially wasn’t sure if I would get much wear out of the pinks in the palette, but I found I began to ditch my neutral browns for shimmery pinks on all occasions.

MAC Amber x9 Palette – The shades in this palette are so creamy and pigmented! The shades are flattering for all eye colours too. I never experience fallout with this palette either and it has an equal balance of mattes and shimmers. You can create both natural looks and dramatic looks!

Perfume

Yves Saint Laurent Black OpiumΒ  – This perfume is so sultry, feminine and gives off so much energy! I don’t think it’s for the fainthearted because it is quite strong. It has notes of coffee, Orange Blossom, Cedarwood Essence and Patchouli Essence.

There you have my beauty favourites for 2015. Tell me what your favourite products were this year!

Love, Gracie

    1. Haha thank you!! I just hate products going to waste so I figured I should use up as many as I can before I buy more! Xx
