Primer Review Series | Hourglass Mineral Veil

Up next on the Primer Series Train is none other than the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer – possibly one of the most popular primers out there. If you’ve never used this primer before you may be thinking, ‘what is all the dang fuss about? Surely it can’t be that amazing.’ Let me tell you now, it is…

Do you have issues with your foundation transferring? Then you need this baby in your life. This primer stops foundation slipping around in its tracks and locks it into place all day. Not only does it stop transferring, but it also makes your foundation water resistant – hurrah! This is perfect if you live in a humid climate, are about to come into summer, or you spend your days running around like a headless chook and sweat a lot.

A pea sized amount of this primer is all you need to cover your entire face. This means that the 30ml bottle will last you a while. As you can see from the bottle, the product is white but it melts into the skin and adapts to your natural skin colour. It has a very velvety texture and instantly reduces redness and pore size when applied. It is oil-free, so it’s perfect for those with oilier complexions. In saying that though, I’ve found it is still very suitable if you have dry or dehydrated skin. This primer definitelyΒ gives a matte finish to the skin, so it is great if you are going to be taking photos. Don’t be fooled by the SPF 15 in it – all Hourglass products that contain SPF are photo ready!

Love, Gracie
