Brand Focus: Biologi

Biologi is an Australian skincare brand, based in gorgeous Byron Bay, that has created the world’s first 100% active plant serums. The serums are created from Biologi’s own extraction method that ensures the nutrients from plant cells remain active. What I love about Biologi is that each serum literally contains one ingredient. One. That means there are no fillers, fragrances, preservatives, other additives and the products are certainly not watered down. The plant extracts are also natural and certified organic and not created synthetically.

Biologi makes three serums*:

  • Bd Luminosity Face Serum
  • Bk Rejuvenation Eye Serum
  • Bf Hydration Body Serum

Bd Luminosity Face Serum

Bd is powered by Davidson Plum. This serum has loads of vitamins and antioxidants to protect your skin and ensure you have a glow. Biologi state that this serum is great for anyone concerned about ageing, acne, and overall skin rejuvenation. Since this product is 100% active, it’s best to ease into using it so that the skin can adjust. It is recommended to use this product every second night during the first week, every night during the second week and morning and night afterwards.  Another key piece of information about this serum is that you don’t need to apply moisturiser afterwards!

My thoughts:
Bd is an absolutely beautiful face serum that gives you a serious glow! I have been using these products for over a month now and I have seen a massive change in my skin. My overall texture has smoothed out dramatically, I haven’t experienced a bad breakout and some scarring and pigmentation I have has lightened. I can’t even tell you how much I love this serum – it has absolutely changed my skin and it is something I would definitely repurchase!

Bk Rejuvenation Eye Serum

Bk’s star ingredient is Kakadu Plum. Kakadu Plum contains ridiculously high levels of Vitamin C – this serum’s Vitamin C level is 40%. Not only is the Vit C level high, it is actually a natural form of Vit C – not just Ascorbic Acid which is a synthetic compound of the vitamin. Bk is great for treating dark circles, increasing collagen, reducing fine lines, and on any other areas on the face where you have significant scarring or pigmentation.

My thoughts:

Bk is a lovely lightweight eye product that leaves my eye area feeling plump and rejuvenated. I have pretty hectic dark circles but I have already seen a brightening effect from using this product for only around a month. When you first start using this product you use it in a similar way as Bd – so every second night during the first week, every night during the second week and morning and night afterwards.

Bd Hydration Body Serum

Bf is created with Finger Lime. This body serum is designed to increase collagen, moisture retention, protect from free radicals and improve overall skin tone. Bd also contains natural Vitamin C at 10%, so it is great if you do have any pigmentation or uneven skin tone on your body. Like the face serums, you don’t need to apply moisturiser over the top of this product since it is hydrating enough. You also only need to apply this product every second day.

My thoughts:

Bf is a deeply hydrating product that you need to try especially if you suffer from seriously dry skin. I have extremely dry skin on my body and since using this product I have noticed my skin feels and appears a lot more hydrated – no longer am I experiencing those ‘cracks’ on my legs. When I read you only need to use this product every second day I thought I would have to use a different moisturiser on the days I didn’t use Bf, however I found I definitely didn’t need to. Bf truly does help your skin to retain more moisture and I swear you feel an instant difference as soon as you apply the serum.

Since stripping back my skincare routine and using Biologi, my skin has changed so much and I have received so many compliments on how my skin is looking. Biologi is a winner for me and will always have a place in my skincare routine.
